Bozeman Guitar Lessons is run by musician and songwriter Andrew Hand (That’s Me) as a way to help those here in Bozeman looking to start exploring their musical voices. Having started making music at a late age in life, I found that tapping into this creative channel changed my life.
The power of music to free our souls and take us on a journey inside of ourselves is truly magical. I firmly believe that it is never too late to start making music. It doesn’t matter where you’re at in life, how old you are, or how much you might have felt you don’t have a musical bone in your body. The truth is, YOU DO!
I have a distinct memory of sining when I was young, in a group setting, and having my brother tell me I couldn’t sing and that my voice sounded terrible. Now from the stories I’ve heard, I know this is not uncommon at all. But it can do real psychological damage to us when we’re young. If we were trying to be musical, but then were shutdown or criticized, the effects can be life-long.
This is precisely why it’s time to start right NOW, if you’ve ever felt that way. Life is far too short and will be over before you know it, so why not get over that fear, those questions, those doubts, and jump in. Explore and express what you’ve felt pulling at you all these years…
Or at least that’s what my process was like
. If you’ve never had any discouragement towards music, that is wonderful! So either way, I think that there’s no time like the present to jump deeper into music and gain the tools to really paint freely on the canvas of sound. Find your voice, your style, your expression, your freedom.
So that’s what I’m about, what BozemanGuitarLessons.com is about, and what everything I believe in life is about. Who would have thought that a decision back in 2004 would change so much of my life and thoughts about our existence here on earth? I know I sure didn’t.
If you want to follow more of my musical journey and see just where I’m at, you can always head over to my music site at AndrewHand.com. And if you’re not really sure if you’re ready for a teacher, that’s cool too. I have an online guitar teaching site with lots of lessons and you can just get started at home for free. That’s at LearnToPlayGuitarTV.com
I really look forward to hearing from you and please feel free to reach out any time.
